Third Red7 Marine Ship Won
Vessel Management Services have taken DSV Red7Alliance under their care after Red7Marine Offshore announced the acquisition of the vessel. This is the third Red7Marine ship that VMS has won over for ship services, a testament to the excellent service offered by the ship management company.
Red7Marine stated that the acquisition of the Red7Alliance has been made in response to the increasing demand for the utilisation of their offshore support vessels. Great Yarmouth and Aberdeen-based R7M developed a strategy to offer its full services in deeper water as part of its heavy investment in its offshore services.
The Red7 Alliance will be joining the existing DPII vessel fleet, Red7 Tonjer and Red7 Reel. Formerly owned by Seamec and Hal Offshore, Red7Alliance was secured after an extensive search for a vessel equipped to deliver deep water subsea construction, IRM and decommissioning support services with an exceptional UK track record.
The vessel is 78.3m long and includes DNV classed 250 MSW 16 man Sat system allowing continuous diving operations, a 6.0m³ diving bell c/w heave dampening system, a main crane 140t @ 7.75m to 70t @ 15m, • accommodation for 80 persons, clear deck 550 sq/m with capacity for 1,500t • fully equipped with a hydraulic folding helideck for size Bell 212. Super Puma EC225 Type Helicopter.
Red7 Marine believe that the efficient management of their vessels is key to providing clients the service they want, securing further work and delivering services in a reliable and cost effective manner. It also ensures sufficient capacity in vessel days to deliver long term and emergency short term.
