DSV Supporter Managed By VMS

Vessel Management Services are now managing DSV Supporter for Jade-Dienst, a German based company. This news follows the acquisition of Red 7 Reel by Jade Dienst and the change of name to DPV Supporter. VMS have been retained as the ship managers of the vessel that is the first large scale commercial vessel owned by Jade Dienst. Jade-Dienst GmbH is a specialized maritime services company based in Wilhelmshaven and for more than 50 years it is a competent partner for shipping, port services, water conservancy and environmental protection. Red7 Reel successfully passes its 40th survey

Following the news that Vessel Management Services (VMS) have taken Red7Alliance under their wing, it has been announced that Red7Marine’s Red7 Reel has successfully passed its 40 year special survey. This will be a 5 year renewal of class for a ship whose keel was first laid in 1974 and then rolled-out in 1976.  Throughout the years the vessel has been mainly classified as a cable layer/offshore support and substantial conversions have been carried out in 1979, 1985, 1992 and in 2005. Third Red7 Marine Ship Won

Vessel Management Services have taken DSV Red7Alliance under their care after Red7Marine Offshore announced the acquisition of the vessel. This is the third Red7Marine ship that VMS has won over for ship services, a testament to the excellent service offered by the ship management company. RED7 TONJER UNDER VMS CARE

RED7 TONJER Vessel Management services are continuing their growth when it comes to ship management services. During the month of March they are proud to announce the winning of a second RED7 Marine contract. The contract entails the management of ‘Normand Tonjer’, registered with IMO number 8205620 and MMSI 235065345. EC ISSUES SHIP RECYCLING REGULATIONS

Regulations Effective January 1 2014 On 1st January 2014, the European’s Unions regulation for ship recycling has come into effect. The European Parliament has approved adoption of this legislation following an agreement reached on 17 June 2013 (PE-CONS 59/13, 15517/13 ADD1 REV1). The new regulations aims to prevent and minimise accidents, injuries and hazard to human health and the environment caused by ship recycling. According to the regulation all new ships must have an inventory of hazardous materials contained in the ship’s structure or fittings, together with details of their location and quantities.
